The use of this website site is voluntary and is being made available to you for use in obtaining Old Quay Apothecary and it's dropshipping partners' products. By ordering from Old Quay Apothecary via this site, telephone, email or post, you "the Customer" agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Terms of Sale
These Terms & Conditions of Sale apply to all goods supplied by Old Quay Apothecary; they do not affect your statutory rights.
Any order placed by you "the customer" for goods advertised on our website is considered an offer by you to purchase the goods in your order. No contract exists between you and us until we have received and accepted your order. Each time you "the customer" place an order, you will receive an automated email confirming this. The notification of receipt is not a confirmation, that the order has been accepted. We reserve the right to terminate the sale if the payment for ordered goods is not received in full.
2. Description and Price of Goods
Old Quay Apothecary have taken every care to describe and show all items as accurately as possible, and with accordance to the manufacturer's specification. Despite this, a slight variation in items may occur. We provide you with product information on the website. If there is anything, which you do not understand, or if you wish to obtain further information, please contact the Customer Service Team via email: oldquayapothecary@gmail.com
Prices on our website are in Pound Sterling and nclude VAT where applicable, We make every effort to keep the prices for products or delivery on our website up to date, however any changes to said prices are subject to change without notice. Where applicable VAT is charged at the standard rate as laid out by the British Government http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/vat/.
In the event of larger orders (10 items or more, or above £50)
If, within 3 days of accepting your order, we discover some, but not all of the items, are out of stock, we will contact you and offer you the option of amending your order to substitute the out of stock item(s) with suitable alternative products. If you do not choose a suitable substitute within 3 working days, and the unavailable items total 20% or less of the number of items ordered the uout of stock item(s) will be removed from your order and we will dispatch the available goods.
Any payment received from you with respect to the cancelled item(s) will be credited back to your original method of payment. Old Quay Apothecary will not substitute any item without contacting you "the customer" first regarding your order(s).
*Please note, under no circumstances can back orders for items be accepted.
3. Payment
Payment can be made by PayPal / Credit Card or via Bank Transfer. Payment is due before despatch of goods. If your payment fails your order will be cancelled within 7 days, unless you contact us to make payment. No goods will be despatched until payment has been made in full, and the funds have cleared. Please be aware if you are paying by a PayPal eCheque these may take up to two weeks to clear.
Website prices are listed in GBP (Pound Sterling) and this is the accepted payment currency.
It is the responsibility of you "the customer" to check your order email confirmation; should there be any discrepancies, please let us know immediately via email OR phone as changes to orders will not be possiblr once the order has been despatched.
4. Delivery
Delivery will be made to the address specified by you "the customer" through our checkout when you complete your order.
We make every effort to reuse and recycle our packaging to reduce waste.
Should you "the customer" wish to change the delivery address after the goods have been dispatched, we will require you to cover the delivery charges for the redirection (please note re-direction is only available for goods despatched via courier).
The charges will be the same as the original delivery charge. Please be aware that the redirection approval is subject to approval by the chosen courier.
If a order is dispatched with a wrong postal code then we would refund for the item only and you must place the order again and pay for postage if you still wish to have the order.
Orders are aimed to be delivered within 3-5 working days after despatch* (Excludes UK Express**).
Please note a working day is any day other than weekends and Bank or other Public Holidays.
If the delivery of the order will be refused, or it fails due to you cancelling the order, Old Quay Apothecary will refund you within 30 days for any sum that has been paid by you with respect to the goods.
By exercising your right to cancel, you are required to return the goods, at your own cost, to Old Quay Apothecary. If you fail to return the goods within 14 days, we reserve the right to charge you for any costs incurred during retrieving the goods from you.
We make every effort to ensure goods are delivered within five working days of acceptance of your order. However, Old Quay Apothecary will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. In this event, we will inform you of any delays as soon as possible.
Postal orders can take up to 7 working days to arrive after an order is placed. If a non tracked order has not arrived 14 working days after despatch you will be eligible for a refund or replacement.
*Please note some items delivery charges may change as we regularly check our website to make sure all weights are correct. However this is a lengthily process as we have over 250 items to manually check.
4.1 For courier deliveries:
Please ensure you "the customer" provide a correct delivery address, where someone will be available to receive the delivery between 7.30am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. If the couriers are unable to complete a delivery due to nobody being present, a calling card will be left asking you to contact them directly to arrange a re-delivery. If you do not contact the couriers within 2 days of receiving this card, the goods will be returned to our Despatch Depot and a re-delivery charge may be applicable to your order.
In the case of express deliveries, if the goods are not received in 1-2 working days please contact us immediately as after 4 working days of despatch, the courier may return the goods to our depot. In the event of re-despatching the goods or in the event of redirection further charges may apply. In the event of charges applying, they will be the same as those charged for the initial despatch.
Old Quay Apothecary and our droshipping partner Ancient Wisdom retains ownership of all their goods shipped within the UK until they have been delivered and signed for or left in a safe place by the courier. Once your goods have been delivered, the risk of damage or loss of the item passes to the recipient.
4.2 Overseas Shipping:
Old Quay Apothecary does not currently ship to countries outside of the United Kingdom. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
*Priority Dispatch: This charge is for same day dispatch, this is not for same day delivery. Please note the Priority dispatch charge will upgrade your order to a faster courier service for ZONE 1 UK mainland only. For any Deliveries outside the UK then the charge is just the standard same day dispatch.
5. Cancellation of Orders
You "the customer" have the right to cancel your order with Old Quay Apothecary at any time up to 14 days after receipt of your goods, in line with your statutory rights. To cancel your contract you must advise us in writing, either by post, by e-mail to oldquayapothecary@gmail.com
Should you wish to cancel your order after the goods have been despatched to you, you will be responsible for returning the goods to Old Quay Apothecary within 7 days, at your own cost, unless the goods are faulty or mis-described. Please follow our Returns Procedure (see condition 8 below).
The goods must be unused and still in their original packaging in a saleable condition unless the are faulty or mis-described..
You will be refunded for the goods within 30 days of notifying Old Quay Apothecary in writing of the cancellation.
* If you wish to cancel an order after it has been paid for then please email the order number and we will try to cancel this before it is dispatched, however please note on some occasions orders may not be cancelled in time before dispatch.
5.1 Amendment of orders already placed
You "the customer" may amend any order placed whilst it is still in your basket before payment has been made.. We may also be able to amend you order whilst it is in processing but are unable to amend orders once they have been dispatched.
To amend an order please email us or use the Contact Us Form quoting the order number and nature of the amendment (please note some amendments will require us to cancel and refund the order and ask for it to be placed again). Please do not send messages via PayPal relating to orders as we do not receive these messages, we will not be held responsible for failing to make any changes requested in a PayPal message.
6. Refund Policy
If you "the customer" are eligible for a refund, we will refund you back to the method of payment you used when you originally paid for your order. The refund amount will be the total amount you have paid for the particular order or a fraction of this, depending on the nature of the fault at hand. Please note: it is your responsibility to advise us of any changes to your PayPal email address. Refunds can take up to 30 days from receipt of the return.
7. Warranty
All products supplied by our dropshipping partner Ancient Wisdom Drop Shipping have a 6 month manufacturer’s warranty period from the date the goods were delivered (unless otherwise stated and excluding consumables). This warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
All products made and supplied by Old Quay Apothecary will either have a 6 month or 12 month shelf life depending on the type of product. The Use By Date is stated on the packaging.
Please note, any warranty does not cover you "the customer" for any defects in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than in accordance with its intended use.. Consumable items, (e.g cosmetics) are covered for physical defects in accordance with the terms above. Consumable items, (e.g batteries) are not covered for replacement during 'normal' use.
7.1. Faulty Item(s)
If you receive products that are faulty or incomplete on arrival, you must notify us within 72 hours of receipt of the item in writing (by post, by e-mail to oldquayapothecary@gmail.com or by using the Contact Us page on our website).
We do not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear. Consumable items, such as cosmetics will be replaced if found to be faulty on delivery, however consumable items, (e.g cosmetics) are not covered for replacement during 'normal' use
We require photographic evidence of any visible faults in order to approve a refund or a return. We reserve the right to request that any damaged items be returned to us as as per our Returns Procedure (see condition 8 below). The goods should be returned to us in line with our Returns Procedure (see condition 9 below).
We will check products returned as faulty. If the fault is verified, we will replace the item within 5 working days at no additional cost to you and you will be reimbursed for any reasonable carriage costs incurred by the return. If, for any reason, we are unable to replace the item (for example, due to discontinuation of a product), you will be offered a choice of a substitute alternative product or a refund for the faulty item.
For items over £15 sale price before VAT, please contact us via email at oldquayapothecary@gmail.com describing the type and extent of the fault and we will advise you how to proceed.
Please do not place duplicate orders for replacement of damaged/faulty goods.
For heavy, courier delivered items of the value of over £15 sale price before VAT with visible fault (s) that we wish returned to us we can, upon request, despatch a replacement item and arrange a courier collection of the damaged item at the same time (*please note this is only available in the circumstance that the recipient will be available at the address to pass the faulty goods to the courier)
In the event the faulty goods are to be returned to us, please see our Returns Procedure (see condition 8 below). If the goods you have returned are found not to be faulty, you will be notified in writing. You will receive a refund or an offer of a replacement for the original goods, however we will ask you to cover the delivery charges, and no return delivery charges will be refunded.
7.2. Item(s) Damaged on Arrival
In the unlikely event of you "the customer" receiving a damaged product, you should notify us in writing (either by e-mail to oldquayapothecary@gmail.com or by using the Contact Us page on the website) within 48 hours of receipt of the goods. For items to the value of £15 sale price before VAT, we request photographic evidence of any visible damage to assess whether the item is eligible for a refund and return.
For items over £15 sale price before VAT, please contact us via email at oldquayapothecary@gmail.com describing the type and extent of the damage and we will advise you how to proceed.
For heavy, courier delivered items of the value of over £15 sale price before VAT with visible damage that we wish returned to us we can, upon request, despatch a replacement item and arrange a courier collection of the damaged item at the same time (*please note this is only available in the circumstance that the recipient will be available at the address to pass the faulty goods to the courier)
Once we have received the goods at our Despatch Depot, we will examine the goods for the damage. If the damage is verified, we will replace the item within 3 working days at no additional cost to you and you will be reimbursed for any reasonable carriage charge incurred by the return.
If the goods you have returned are found not damaged, you will be notified in writing. You will receive a refund or an offer of a replacement for the original goods, however we will ask you to cover the delivery charges, and no return delivery charges will be refunded.
PLEASE DO NOT PLACE DUPLICATE ORDERS TO REPLACE DAMAGED ITEMS, it will not speed up the replacement process.
7.3. Wrong Item(s) Delivered
In the event that we supply you with an incorrect item in error, you must notify us within 30 days. If you "the customer" wishes to return the item for replacement it must be in lines with our Returns Procedure (first see 7.3.1 below). Depending on the value of the item (see 7.3.1 below) you, "the customer" is free to keep the item if they are happy with it, and any refund for a difference in value will be issued, However if the item is of higher value than the original item paid for a PayPal request will be sent for the difference.
7.3.1
If the proposed carriage costs for an item to be returned exceeds the value of the item purchase cost, Old Quay Apothecary will ask for photographic evidence that the item is incorrect, you "the customer" is then free to dispose of the incorrect item in the manner most convenient to themselves.
The goods should be returned to us in line with our Returns Procedure. Once we have received the incorrect items at our Despatch Depot or received proof of postage, the correct items will be shipped within 2-3 working days and you will be reimbursed for any reasonable carriage charge incurred by the return.
In the event of an item of over 2kg in weight we can arrange a courier collection at the same time as the correct item is delivered (this service is only available if there will be somebody present at the delivery address to accept the delivery and pass back the incorrect goods).
PLEASE DO NOT PLACE DUPLICATE ORDERS TO REPLACE DAMAGED ITEMS, it will not speed up the replacement process.
7.4. Item(s) Not Required
If you "the customer" wish to return an unwanted item, you must notify us in writing (either by post, by e-mail or by using the Contact Us page on the website) within 7 days of receipt of the item. A refund will be credited back to your original method of payment for the item only within 30 days of you notifying Old Quay Apothecary of the cancellation. Providing we have received the item back, unopened, undamaged and its original packaging.
The item should be returned to us in line with our returns instructions within 28 days of you notifying us. You will be responsible for returning the goods at your own cost, and they should be returned in their original packaging and 'as new'.
This condition does not apply to perishable products (those items supplied with a printed Use By date e.g. soaps, shampoo bars etc) items, unless previously agreed in writing with Old Quay Appothecary.
7.5. Extra Item(s) Delivered
If, by mistake we supply you with extra items, you must notify us immediately, either in writing (by e-mail or by using the Contact Us page on the website) The item(s) should be returned to us in line with our Returns Procedure (see condition 8 below). Once the goods have been returned to use , you "the customer" will be reimbursed for any reasonable carriage charge incurred by the return *If you "the customer" do not inform us of receipt of extra items and you are found in possession of goods that you have not paid for, you could be charged for the goods in full.
7.6 Non-Delivery of Item(s)
We class an order as non-delivery if it has not arrived within 2 weeks. You have 21 days from when you made you payment to notify us of any missing, damaged or faulty items. Orders over this time period will not refunded or replaced. Please contact Old Quay Apothecary via email at oldquayapothecary@gmail.com or using the ‘Contact Us’ form on the website. Please provide us with the original order number as reference.
We will then investigate the non-delivery with the relevant delivery service provider used for the order and offer you a replacement order to be sent out or a full refund for the undelivered goods within the required 21 days.
Please do not place duplicate orders for replacement of non delivered goods.
8. Out Of Stock Items
We try to keep our website as up-to-date as possible, and stock checks are carried out daily. However we do not have a real time stock system. If there are any out of stock items on your order we will notify you within 2 business days, we will deduct these from your final invoice, and issue a refund that will be sent back to the original method of payment within 7 working days.
We will contact you "the customer" regarding any out of stock items affecting your order by email. We will hold the order until 1pm the following business day and if we do not hear from you by then, the order will be shipped and the difference refunded.
A refund will be issued for any out of stock items. Refunds are processed within 7 working days once an order has been invoiced and dispatched.
Please note we do not offer a back-order service.

9. Returns Procedure
Please note, as stated above, in the event of an item arriving damaged contact must be made to Old Quay Apothecary via Email in the first instance and we will advise whether a return is necessary. We request photographic evidence of all damages wherever possible, in order to ascertain whether a return is neccessary.
Items should be returned in their original packaging and in 'as new' condition to the following address:

Before returning any items, you must inform Old Quay Apothecary of the reason for the return. Please quote your original order number reference on all returns and correspondence.
In the event of an item returned to Old Quay Apothecary not arriving, you will be asked to provide tracking details (where applicable) or a receipt of proof of postage.
We advise that customers return items of high value (£15 or more) using Signed For Second Class postal service.
If an item(s) is returned to Old Quay Apothecary without any written communication, and not in line with our returns procedure, Old Quay Apothecary will not compensate for any transport costs involved.
10. Limitation of Liability
Old Quay Apothecary will not be liable to you for any loss or damage in circumstances where:
1. There is no breach of a legal duty owed to you by Old Quay Apothecary or by its employees or Partners
2. Such loss or damage is not a reasonably foreseeable result of any such breach;
3. Any increase in loss or damage resulting from breach by you "the customer" of any item of this contract.
4. Circumstances outside of our control such as unforeseen Postal Strikes, a pandemic, or other "Acts of God".
** Delivery times stated does not include the Christmas period when Royal Mail/Courier transit times are extended beyond our control (notifications will be placed on main website during these periods)
11. Data Protection
Old Quay Apothecary will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure. However, unless Old Quay Apothecary are negligent, we will not be liable for unauthorised access to information supplied by you. Old Quay Apothecary will not supply your details to any third party. For further details please refer to our Privacy Policy.
12. Images
Allhough every effort is made to ensure product images are updated on a regular basis product images are for illustrative purposes only and may differ slightly from the actual product. Please note there will be variations in colours pertaining to products manufactured from natural materials (e.g Soap Stone, wooden products and botanicals).
No replacements will be made if a customer is dissatisfied with the colour of a natural product e.g. soapstonedishes or products made out of wood or botanicals as the colourings of natural products can vary e.g. soapstone colours can vary from pink to black). If a customer wishes to return a natural item due to it's colour it should be returned in line with the returns procedure and a refund in full will be given for the original item cost, no refund will be made for carriage fees involved.
No replacements will be made if a customer is dissatisfied with the colour of any product which is listed as having varying colours in the description. If a customer wishes to return a varying colours item due to it's colour it should be returned in line with the returns procedure and a refund in full will be given for the original item cost, no refund will be made for carriage fees involved.
All images provided on the website remain the intellectual property of Old Quay Apothecary where they relate to our own in house products or are the Intellectual Property of Ancient Wisdom Marketing Limited. where they relate to our partner's prodcusts Ancient Wisdom Drop Shipping Ltd.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms of sale and the supply of the goods will be subject to English and Welsh law and the English and Welsh courts will have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from the sale of goods.
14. Protecting Your Security
All information provided by you "the customer" will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
15. Placing an Order
By placing an order with Old Quay Apothecary you are confirming you "the customer" have read and agreed to the terms, conditions and delivery times as laid out in writing on this site. The contract of the sale is bound by the terms laid out in this document.
The sales contract laid out in this document is between Old Quay Apothecary and you, "the customer". In the event of goods shipped to an addressee other than yourself (the customer) e.g. an item sent to a third party, we have no sales contract between ourselves and the third party. In this case we cannot mediate any aspect of the sale between yourself (the customer) and the 3rdparty receiver of the goods.
16. Cosmetic Goods
All of our products intended for cosmetic use are certified and tested as required by law, and ingredients for any of these items is available upon request. Old Quay Apothecary highly recommends that end users of these products perform a patch test before using any cosmetic product for the first time, and periodically thereafter as allergies can develop from the repeated use of ANY cosmetic product. Any products containing allergens will have it stated on the ingredients list.
16.1. Returns of cosmetic items:
If you "the customer" wish to return an unwanted cosmetic item, you must notify us (by e-mail or by using the Contact Us page on this website) within 3 days of receipt of the item. A refund will be credited back to your original method of payment for the item only within 30 days of you notifying Old Quay Apothecary of the cancellation. Providing we have received the item back.
The item should be returned to us unopened in line with our returns instructions within 7 working days of you notifying us. You will be responsible for returning the goods at your own cost, and they should be returned in their original packaging and 'as new'.
17. Misuse of Goods
